On a wet and very slippery afternoon, the Marion XC squad traveled to Chippewa Hills High School to compete in the Regional competition. While we didn't have any state meet qualifiers or set any personal records on the soggy afternoon, we did run well with most runners finishing near their season-best times. The footing was troublesome so top times weren't really expected but the kids did show up to compete and gave a great effort. I was pleased with the overall performance of all our runners to wrap up the season but Eric Williams and Selena Quintero lead each squad and did so with finish times within 10 seconds of their personal best. Logan Romatz and Liz Fouch also had a nice finish within 30 seconds of their top times for the season. Overall it was a good season. I've enjoyed working with these guys and gals this year. We'll miss our seniors including Eric, Jordan, and Logan. They brought good leadership and a lot of fun to the group.
