PROGRAM DIRECTOR/LEAD TEACHER

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or child development.

(Bachelor’s degree preferred).

The applicant shall have at least 2 semester hours or 3.0 CEUs in child care administration.

2 years of experience preferred.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan, organize, and manage classrooms.

Supervise co-leads, assistant teachers, and volunteers in the classroom.

Work Collaboratively with support teams.

Participate in scheduled parent activities: Conferences, meetings, etc.

Record keeping for developmental assessments and other portfolio materials.

Maintain strong working relationships with parents, students, and team members.

Participate in ongoing training.

Maintain requirements of L.A.R.A. Child Care Licensing Rules and Regulations.

Completes and submits applicable reports.

Performs other related duties as directed by Licensee.

Regular and reliable attendance.

The Team member shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance in the workplace throughout their employment with the district.
