SEEDS Marion Ecoschool students grew their own salads using their indoor Tower Gardens. They grew over 12 full heads of lettuce and took it home to share with their families. They will be growing more vegetables all year long! We love this program!

Marion Families! You are invited to the 4th and 5th grade Artist Program on Wednesday, May 17 at 6pm in the elementary gym! You and your students are encouraged to wear clothing from your favorite music artists. Students should be in their regular classrooms at 5:45 to check in and get ready. Showcased artists include: The Beatles, Louis Armstrong, Michael Jackson, and more!

SEEDS Marion EcoSchool students held a tea party to share with their teachers about what they face as kids and what they feel adults could do better to connect with them. The students engaged in thoughtful and open discussion and played SEL games about kindness with their teachers. Then, they drank tea and shared donuts.

SEEDS Marion EcoSchool students learned about the incubation of chicken eggs. They began the countdown by incubating their own eggs in our classroom. Hands on learning is the best!

SEEDS Marion EcoSchool students learned to create their own paper lanterns using glue, water, balloons, and napkins. Each students used their own technique to cover the balloons creating layers. It was messy but rewarding and fun!

SEEDS Marion EcoSchool students worked in teams to engineer their own jelly bean towers. Their challenge was to build the tallest tower they could using only jelly beans and toothpicks and teamwork. Communication skills as well as determination were key for each team.
