Marion Public Schools is moving into a locked security mode out of an abundance of caution due to a bank robbery that occured this morning in Luther. School will be dismissed at the regular time.

Marion Elementary had their first SOAR assembly today and learned all about respect. RESPECT will be our theme for September.
We ask that ALL parents please follow our carline procedures for the safety of our students and staff. Please use the southeast drive in front of the school, stay in your car-do not leave your vehicle, and let our school employees assist with getting your child into our building. The safety of our students is our top priority. If your need to meet with your child's teacher, please use their teacher's REMIND account, email the school or call the office to set up an appointment. Thank you for your continued support.

6th and 7th Grade Orientation will take place tomorrow morning when students arrive at school. Please have your student go to the cafeteria first thing to meet their teacher. We will be going through the breakfast line, finding classrooms, and learning how to open lockers! If you are dropping off or your student off, please use the main parking lot. We can't wait to see you in the morning!

Students who attend CTC, must be at school by 11:10 this week. The first day for CTC is August 29.

Middle School Football practice will begin on 8/23 and will be held on Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:00-7:30 at the high school practice field. All athletes must have a current physical on file before they are able to participate in practices or contests.

Safety first! Marion staff participated in Active Shooter Training today provided by Osceola County's Mark Watkins and our new liaison officer--Officer Dougherty.
Wednesdays are late start days. The elementary instructional day begins at 9:00 am and the junior high and high school instructional day begins at 8:50 am.
Don't forget: Our back to school open house will be on Wednesday, August 17th from 4-6 PM. We can't wait to see you!

Football: 5:00-8:30 pm, M-F
Volleyball: 12:00-2:00 pm, M, W, F
Sideline Cheer: 10:00-12:00, M, T, W
Cross Country: 8:00-10:00 am, M-F
Middle School sports start Tuesday, August 23:
Cross Country: after school - 5:00
Volleyball: 4:30-6:00
Football: TBA
Current school sports physicals (completed on or after April 15, 2022) must be on file in the high school office before an athlete can participate in practices or contests.
