Over the weekend, Marion Public Schools was notified that students attending our elementary and middle school are at risk of testing positive for COVID.
While we are waiting on guidance from the Central Michigan Health Department, and out of an abundance of caution, Marion Public Schools will be closed on Monday, October 26 and Tuesday, October 27, 2020. In following our established, internal protocols, we are using Monday and Tuesday in order to deep clean all district buildings and facilities and to conduct contact tracing. We hope to reopen on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. The next two days will be treated like snow days, with no instruction.
We will continue to update Marion families as we get more information.
All staff should report to the high school cafeteria on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 9:00 am to help with contact tracing.

Come out and support the Varsity Football Team Thursday night as they take on Bellaire in the first round of playoffs. Game time is 7:00pm. Tickets go on sale Monday for parents after 1:00pm through GoFan.co. The code and instructions for purchasing will be sent home with the players and cheerleaders Monday. Remaining tickets will be available for purchase without a code for the public through the GoFan.co website on Wednesday starting at 6:00pm. Tickets must be purchased before game time and presented to the ticket booth on a smart phone for validation before entering the game. #GoEagles

Marion will be hosting Bellaire in the first round of football playoffs later this week. Game and ticket information will be released soon! #GoEagles!

Reminder: Early release will begin this coming Wednesday, October 28th, 2020. The students of Marion Public Schools will be released at 11:20 am (high school) and 11:30 am (elementary). Lunch will be served.

Hey all you Eagle fans, stand up and clap your hands!
These super fans may have a hard time clapping, but they sure show some school spirit. Our MPACT students created them to represent some Eagle love for our volleyball teams. Join them at MHS home events; they’re saving you a seat. 😁♥️🦅 🏐

These lil kindergarten pumpkins were so excited about getting these Halloween pumpkins! There really ARE smiles behind those masks.
Many thanks to Wyatt and the Krchmar family for bringing one for each of us!

Congratulations to Middle School Football. They ended their undefeated season with a big win over Frankfort! It’s a great day to be an Eagle! ❤️🦅🏈

Marion Elementary, Get your smiles ready! 😁🦅

Parents: Marking period 1 will end on Friday, October 23. If you would like your student to return to face to face instruction for marking period 2, please call the office so that arrangements can be made.

How Do You Like Them Apples?
They LOVE them! The kindergarten class loved working with the September FARM Crate! The topic of the lessons for the month were Michigan apples. Thanks Dan Lee at Farm Bureau Insurance!!!

YOUR EAGLE SPIRIT MASK ORDERS ARE IN!
If you ordered a mask through MPACT's Eagle Spirit Mask Sale, it is here. Please check in with the person you ordered from. If you turned your mask order in at the elementary school, it will be coming home with students.

The Middle School WMD volleyball tournament scheduled for this Saturday, 10/17, has been cancelled.

Senior Night for cross country and volleyball will be Thursday, October 15th before the varsity volleyball game. Based upon legal opinion, MHSAA regulations, and the opinion of our Health Department, we will be maintaining our current plan as written in our Extended Learning Plan--masks and social distancing will be required. Let's focus on letting our students participate. Go Eagles.
