Marion Community: The Board of Education will conduct a meeting tonight, September 1st at the Marion Elementary. The Board will meet face-to-face, but due to government restrictions all other attendees will need to attend virtually. Here is the link: meet.google.com/qdz-njjb-sxa

Attention virtual students: elementary students can pick up their materials on Wednesday or Thursday (9/2 or 9/3) from 9 AM - 2 PM in the elementary library; middle school and high school students can pick up their materials on Wednesday or Thursday (9/2 or 9/3) from 1 PM - 3 PM in the high school media center. See you then.

Dear Marion Community,
We would like to let you know that our superintendent, Chris Arrington, has accepted another position in the education field. We have appreciated his contributions to our district during his time here. Because we must have a superintendent as required by the State of Michigan, our current high school principal, Danyel Prielipp, will take on these duties with support and assistance from our ISD and the staff of both the high school and elementary buildings for the time being. This is an interim solution and our school board will be working on a more permanent arrangement. Marion Public Schools has a core staff that is vested in making your children's education the very best that we can. We appreciate your support, encouragement and patience as we enter a challenging school year.

UPDATE: Ladies and Gentlemen: The Board of Education will conduct a meeting TONIGHT at the Marion Elementary. The Board will meet face-to-face, but due to government restrictions all other attendees will need to attend virtually. Here is the NEW LINK: meet.google.com/tip-cgav-vpx

Middle School cross country will begin on Monday, August 24th from 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM. Each athlete must have a physical on file in the high school office and a health questionnaire filled out.
We are still in search of a middle school volleyball coach. If you are interested please contact the high school office.

Did you miss the middle school or high school open house? No problem! You can come to the high school office to pick up your student's packet on Tuesday or Wednesday (August 25 & 26) from 10:00 AM- 2:00 PM. It is important to pick up this information before school starts, so that we know what type of learning we will be providing-face to face or virtual.

Ladies and Gentlemen:
If you haven't returned your child's Chromebook yet, tonight's open house(s) should be an excellent opportunity for you to drop it off. It is super important we get them back so our new platforms will function smoothly by the first day of school. Thank You!

K-6 Parents:
Please join us outside tomorrow evening for open house tomorrow, August 19th, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Marion Elementary School. Our teachers and other departments will have tables set up at safe distances around our playground. This is a chance to meet your child's new teacher and to receive crucial information and paperwork. Please be advised that the playground equipment cannot be utilized during open house. If parents cannot make it tomorrow, please call your child's school to make arrangements to receive the paperwork.
See you tomorrow!!!

Just a reminder and a link to tonight's Board of Education Meeting: meet.google.com/fit-btuf-gqu
Due to government restrictions, the Board will meet face to face, but all attendees must be virtual. Thank You!

Dear Staff, Please check your email for details for our opening day on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing you then!

Ladies and Gentlemen:
There will be more information coming soon, but in the meantime, here are some links to the virtual platforms we will use if school becomes closed, or beginning September 2nd for those opting for a virtual only option. I am so proud of the district's wise choices. These short videos will shed some light on the programs, but know this: REAL MARION TEACHERS will be "behind the screen" for both of our platforms. The same teachers you know and love will be able to add as much of their personal curriculum(s) and teaching style to each lesson. We are prepared to go face-to-face, but if circumstances force virtual only, we feel we have the ultimate virtual system in place. Grades K-8 will use Pearson Realize, and grades 9-12 will use Michigan Virtual:
