Monday morning Mrs. Clark and Mrs. Fox's 4th grade students enjoyed participating in a mock trial at the Reed City Courthouse. Students were able to listen to a re-enactment of Jack and the Beanstalk as a court case. Jack was found guilty of trespassing and stealing a chicken. Students learned how the court holds jury trials.

Several classes at Marion Elementary School had their own Balloon Parade. Students constructed balloons to display in the parade. They read the story Balloons Over Broadway and watched a short video on how the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons are made. Fun and learning was had by students and staff!

On Monday the second graders visited the Marion Village Hall as part of their education about local government. Students visited the office of the village and sat at the table where the village council has their meetings. To learn about some of the different services the village provides, they stopped off at the library for a tour and a few stories. They concluded their visit with a stop at the emergency vehicle building, where they received a tour from our wonderful firefighters. Thank you to all at the people at the Marion Village Hall who helped make it a great trip for our students!
