The 9th grade class participated in Manufacturing Days, sponsored by the Wexford Missaukee CTC. They toured HighFlo Performance in McBain and learned about careers in the automotive industry and manufacturing in Michigan. Thank you HighFlo Performance!

After just three weeks in the Stock Market Game, our students decided the Top 10 leaderboard looked a little bland. So they took it over.
That's right, we're not just on the list. We ARE the list. Marion High holds SIX of the top eight spots, including #1! 🥇
And get this—some of our top traders, the "CS AGENTS," are using custom built AI agents to refine their strategy. 🤖 While you're still trying to figure out your password, our kids are building Skynet to print (fictional) money. The future is now, and it's coming for your portfolio.
A massive shout-out to Jacob Arnold-Crowe for leading the entire state! He's doing Pre-Algebra with one hand and orchestrating a market coup with the other.
The rest of the schools are playing checkers; Marion is playing 4D chess. Watch out, Wall Street. The interns are coming. 🚀📈
(Disclaimer: This is a school game. All money is fictional. But the bragging rights? 100% real.)

The Marion National Honor Society and Cross Country Team had a blast volunteering at the Ragnar Michigan Road Race! The NHS ensured the first relay hand-off at Exchange 1 in Traverse City went smoothly. The Cross Country Team built the finish line and welcomed the first few relay teams across the finish line in Muskegon. From start to finish, that's OVER 200 MILES OF RUNNING in a day and a half! One of those teams included some familiar faces. They started at 5am on Friday and finished at 5:20pm on Saturday 20 MINUTES AHEAD OF THEIR PROJECTED TIME! The team ran a total of 201.7 miles and averaged a 10:52 minute per mile pace! Great '25 finish to team "In my Ragnar Era!!" Thanks for being such awesome role models.

Marion’s 4th graders visited Gingrich Farms and Rose Lake Campgrounds for Project R.E.D. On the farm students learned about manure, milking, cows and got to witness a live birth of a calf. At the park students traveled station to station learning about forestry, fire and electricity safety, honey bees and casting a fishing poll.

The 7th grade Ancient History Class has been exploring how early peoples communicated. Earlier this year, a cave paintings activity focused on illustrating culturally important parts of their life. Currently they are exploring the Fertile Crescent civilizations. One new cultural aspect which developed in this region is written language. Students wrote a short sentence or two, translated it into Cuneiform (a language where symbols made of wedge shaped patterns represented words and syllables) and then into Phoenician (an early alphabetic language). I am sure no middle school parent is surprised that 6-7 somehow made it into this activity.

Last week Marion Cross Country traveled up to Holiday Hills for WMD Jamboree #2, hosted by Grand Traverse Academy. It was hot and there were hills; half the course seemed as if it were uphill! Both the Middle School and Varsity teams didn't let that head game get in the way of a great race.
What really sets Marion Cross Country athletes apart from others though...after the tough race was over, after everyone was exhausted, while all the other teams were packing up to head home...WE decided that the big ski hill in the center of the course needed to be climbed. So we did!
A BIG shout out to 6th grader Cassandra! She PRd at this meet with a time over 50 seconds faster than her last race!
